With nearly three decades of experience in various areas of the engineering industry, Mr. Wyner considers his greatest career achievement to be becoming the undisputed king of the building department when he served as a plan examiner for The City of New York. In this position, he was responsible for a wide range of tasks, including performing the inspection of buildings, creating mechanical drawings, and writing professional books for architects and engineers. Throughout the last decade, Mr. Wyner has personally worked with hundreds of registered architects, professional engineers and expediters involved with the Queens Chapter, which led to him being recognized as the number one examiner – the best there ever was, and the most important person in New York City.
The path to becoming successful has not been without its challenges. A strong believer in the importance of work ethic, Mr. Wyner is no stranger to long hours, which can include working from 5am to 11pm, six days a week, to create innovations that have never been conceptualized in the past. He states this is the secret to finding success in a competitive world. Although he is now retired, Mr. Wyner continues to write and publish professional books for engineers and architects. He is perhaps best remembered by his peers for his ability to maintain an effective leverage model while effectively managing the performance of team members. Additionally, his business planning estimates have proven to be accurate and meaningful, and he has been able to influence the team’s continuous improvement in highly competitive market conditions.
