An expert in all areas of engineering design and facilities management in the health care field, Mr. Lal has met with tremendous success over the last 17 years. In his role, he oversees the engineering operations and compliance management for multiple hospitals within the world-class system of health care in Hayward.  He attributes his success to “being a human first.” Mr. Lal’s unique approach has helped him run departments internally and externally with team building and partnerships focus. As an engineer, he understands the importance of discovering what a client needs.

Mr. Lal is a registered professional engineer accredited by the Society of Professional Engineers and he holds a state license as a general contractor. Additionally, Mr. Lal holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. To stay at the top of advancements in the engineering field, he is very involved in his professional community. Currently, Mr. Lal is a member of the Society of Professional Engineers, the Institution of Diagnostic Engineers, the American Society for Healthcare Engineering of the American Hospital Association and the National Society of Professional Engineers.

Committed to his career, Mr. Lal has achieved many successes since joining Alameda Health Systems. He took the opportunity to improve on the system’s community service efforts and he developed a document compliance system to achieve 100 percent in regulatory surveys. In fact, Mr. Lal considers his position as engineering manager to be the highlight of his career. Looking ahead he hopes to complete a master’s degree so that he may increase his responsibilities with the Alameda Health Systems.
