Melissa Black, MS, BS is a Network Engineer Project Manager for the Information Systems and Global Services division of Lockheed Martin. In her capacity, Ms. Black demonstrates her proficiencies in information technology management, design management, and communication networks and works to support the missions and goals of the global security and information technology company. With a wealth of experience and a profound love for solving problems and discussing current events and issues, she has garnered a reputation for her strong communications skills. Ever determined and persevering, Ms. Black recently trained for six months, lost 40 pounds, and accomplished the personal goal of completing a 10-mile race. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Internetworking Technology from Strayer University, a Master of Science in Communications Technology and a Master’s Certificate in Information Security Management. She remains abreast of trends and developments as a member of the National Association for Female Executives, AAUW, the American Cancer Society and the National Society of Black Engineers.
